Music games for kids: rhythm, high and low, and playing in a band

Music at this age is about playing, and it works best when nothing can sound wrong. On the band stage every mood uses a five-note scale and every note snaps to the beat, so any bars played together sound good and are always in time.

Bo the bear plays drum wheels, and the elephant, the frog and the bird play xylophones from low to high. Moods change the whole song at once, a turtle and a rabbit make it slower or faster, and once a child knows a country from the trip around the world, that country’s band can join, with its own drums and instruments.
